Wow Banner graphics!

I was surfing around when I found this whole bunch of banner graphics! Very easy to customize if you know photoshop...heh

The wonders of photoshop are endless, and it is probably my favourite program, aside from Windows( we need it lar! ), Microsoft Office, Firefoz Mozilla, Internet Explorer... Now what other programs do I use on a regular basis?? Aha, notepad and Spider (game that comes with the PC, I'm hooked!)

Anyway, this is how the customized banner looks like! What do you think?

The wonders of the Internet... found a lot of "reseller programs" while surfing...these people are really ingenious! Totally amazing that they can resell useful software and call it their product. You can find tons of these on the auction sites, and one of my favourite is The Stormpay auctions because I can deposit USD100 there and keep clicking till it is gone! :)

I usually don't like shopping, but browsing the Stormpay auctions are pretty fun!

Got to sign off first, still watching the videos on how to create your own website with notepad...hehe Somehow or the other, I still enjoy doing hand coding, even though it is much faster to use a program to do it for you...

Look at our ugly balloon heart :(

So sad... Vincent (old friend of mine who comforted me while my Granny was dying ) asked me to help him to do some decor... unfortunately everything that could go wrong went wrong, and we couldn't finish the job. We took the two hearts down and popped EVERYTHING! Four hours of work and the poor balloons could not fulfill its destiny of making someone happy.

Needless to say, I told Vincent I will charge him for the balloons (5 bags only) and not for my time there. I was so tired and so so so so sad...

Birds Birds and more Birds!

I never thought I would like birds before..till I actually got my first one! From Happy, a blue budgie, i was hooked, and got Yuppie, a yellow and orange lovebird, then Winky and Spikey, lutino cockatiels. (They both died :( )

Next, I got Chickadee, a green and peach face lovebird, followed by lovey and dovey, a black mask and peach face lovebird. It didn't stop there, for I managed to buy Pearly (dead after taking her first bath) and after that, a cute BIG English budgie, Rolly and Poly (Poly died, not sure why, maybe it is old age). Still, I couldn't stop, and Noisy (violet budgie), together with Lucky (baby grey English budgie), Pearly (starting to recycle names now!) a pearl cockatiel, Funky (half lutino half pied face cockatiel), Snowy (white and bown white face cockatiel) and Bluey (blue lovebird) soon joined the family.

The last bird I got was Starry, and Starry is probably the bird I like best! It is still a baby, a lesser sulphur crested cockatoo, and it can already say Hello and Bye Bye! IT loves getting hugs, kisses and scratches at the back of its head, and will actively seek us people out when it is let out of the cage. It can fly and is super super cute!

I am still trying to wean it and teach it to eat stuff on its own, because till now, 2 or 3 months after I first took it back from the pet shop, it still requires handfeeding via syringe.

I hope it can start eating on its own soon!

Starry is going to learn to do tricks on demand...I bought a lot of books on how to train your bird, as well as DVDs! Hope it helps... Starry is sooooo intelligent, I am sure it will be able to learn real fast.

I have no idea which bird is male or female, as it is not obvious, except with budgies. For budgies, if the "Cere" (top of the beak) is blue, it is male! I hope Starry is female, so that it can lay egss! heheheh...

Oh well, well keep everyone posted! And if I can, will put pictures of my other birds up as well!

The Acrobats Upstairs

These are the wonderful acrobats from upstairs! I knew their troupe leader, Mr Tay, more than 8 years ago, when I first started off performing as a mime. (Yes! I was a mime before I became a clown!)

I was young, and a real innocent! Mr Tay showed me the ropes in the world of performance, and told me some very important "rules".

1) Respect each other, never bad mouth any other performer, even if their show is really, I mean, really bad.

2) If your client gives you a show, never go direct to their clients. Gives you a bad name.

3) Put artistes first, always pay them first and treat them well.

Ever since then, I have been mindful of these rules, and have tried to abide by them. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of Mr Tay, else I will definitely put it up! In those days, Mr Tay was the most generous and warm hearted person around. He would take you out for dinners and if any foreign performers were to come to Singapore, he will play the most gracious host and show them Singapore.

His acrobats froms China are well adjusted and very happy in Singapore. Those who want to go back to China, Mr Tay very kindly sends them back. i heard that some of the male performers, having abstained from sex here in Singapore, go wild back in China, as the new rich. In the end, some of them end up having Hep B. I hope they get well soon, they were really nice and talented performers.

This is part of the group of acrobats that are still in Singapore, and I have watched a few of the younger girls bloom and turn into very beautiful young woman...

They are also the best acrobats in Singapore right now, but they certainly don't come cheap. One show can cost from $3k - $5k, depending on the complexity, whether props are needed or not.

In this picture, they have just finished performing for my company, Zephyhdom and took this picture backstage, at Mod Living.

I had a great time watching them perform their hearts out, and if you look at their makeup, I designed it for them!
