For those concerned about privacy, your friends list in the newly tweaked facebook can be hidden only if you click the pencil icon above the friends box like the screenshot above, and uncheck the "Show my friends on my profile" like the screenshot below. This should work, at least it worked for me at this time, when facebook revamped their privacy settings.
